Happy Friday stampin’ peeps! The weather has been great this week. Yesterday and today in the mid 80’s, a bit warm but I’m not going to complain. If you’ve been reading this month I’ve was honored to have been asked to be a guest designer at Craft Project Central for the fourth time! Woohoo!!! My project was posted on May 1st. I had an awesome time designing my Flower Frenzy project, but another fun thing we get to participate in is their monthly sketch challenge. Today’s post is a sample for our demonstrator retreat that is tomorrow (Yikes!) AND uses the layout sketch at CPC. I love when I can kill two birds with one stone (figuratively). It features one of the new sneak peek Designer Series Paper Packs — Cherry On Top and You’re So Sweet stamp set. I just love the bright colors, mixing of different dsp’s and strips of sparkly rhinestones! Sweet!!!
The base is Bermuda Bay. It is layered with two different pieces from the sneak peek Designer Series Paper Stack–Cherry On Top framed with one of the new In Colors Watermelon Wonder. The band is Crushed Curry which I did my subtle texture addition of the Faux Suede technique topped with strips of sparkly rhinestones. Love it! Then I stamped the “You’re So Sweet” sentiment onto Whisper White with Bermuda Bay and fussy cut around it. Yes, I did eyeball it. FYI – I wasn’t happy with the first one (aka…I messed it up) so this is my second try. You could (if you not inclined to fussy cutting) stamp onto a rectangle and be good to go. There are no wrong way, just opportunities for artistic interpretation. Lol! I then stamped the sentiment again onto Whisper White with Watermelon Wonder and fussy cut the “sweet” and “treat” out and popped it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
