Your Presents – “Joy”ful stack of presents

Youre Presents - Presents 120dpi

Well, we made it.  Yay!  The long holiday weekend is almost here.  Woohoo!!!  I get to start the weekend off celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary today.  It isn’t always easy but we “make it work” and he is a keeper.  I am excited to get together with my fellow demos and make all the wonderful and fun cards for our Holiday Catalog Stamp Together on Saturday morning.  (If you’d like to learn more about this fun event just reach out to me.)

This striking cutie is the second of the three cards that I designed featuring the “Your Presents” stamp set for our Holiday Catalog Stamp Together.  My goal was to show different ways (aka, non-traditional) to use this versatile set and I love how they all turned out.

CARD BASE:  It starts with Pink Pirouette in a long and narrow-ish layout (3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″).  Then layered with Basic Black and Whisper White.

FOCAL POINT:  Why the three cute presents of course.  Lol!  I heat embossed the left present in black onto Pink Pirouette and added a flower “bow” with a smidge of Silver Glimmer and Rhinestone for the flower’s center.  Next on the center present I used one of the designs from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack.  [TIP:  You can flip the Vellum over and the design has a silver feel for a totally different look.]  layered onto Pink Pirouette.  Then I topped it off with a narrow strip of Basic Black and the new Silver Cording for the ribbon and bow.  [TIP:  I did the Faux Suede technique on the black strip to add subtle texture.  I know, I know, I need to get a video up showing you how this subtle texture technique is done.]  The center present is adhered directly onto the card face and the other two are popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  [More height is always a good thing.  Lol!]

SENTIMENT:  It is the cute present on the right.  I stamped the solid square from the “Your Presents” stamp set with Pink Pirouette onto Whisper White.  [TIP:  I like how this gave a softer feel to the pink].  Then I stamped the “Joy” into the pink square with StaZon Jet Black and cut it out.  Then I layer onto a slightly large Basic Black square.  This guy felt a little lonely without any sparkle compared to the others.  Then I had my “hello” moment.  LOL!  Put a rhinestone on the dot topping the J.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s post.  I’d love to hear if you have.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
