Well, I’m excited to say I met my challenge to create three designs from the Wood You Be Mine stamp set (available January 6th). Woohoo!
This is my third design, it features the push/pull saw blade. I started with Burlap ribbon wrapped around an Early Espresso strip to add texture. I went with a larger Starburst Framelit for a larger saw blade effect. After die cutting the clear embossed heart shapes from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die set, I reheated the edges to smooth them out. Next I heat embossed the saw blade in silver, then colored the blade with a blender pen and Silver Encore reinker. It adds a cool bit of shimmer to the blade. The handles were stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black and fussy cut, then glued to the embossed saw blade. I decided to heat emboss the sentiment onto Vellum in black and fussy cut. To be totally honest I was nervous to heat emboss on the blade itself and didn’t want to have to remake it if I messed it up. I am very happy with how the Vellum embossing turned out!
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great evening.
