Tin of Cards ~ Yummy Baked Cookies

tin-of-tags-baked-cookies-736pxl

This card was inspired by one of the fun designs from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper pack.  When I first saw it I thought “ooh, these look like baked cookies”.  Yum…Lol!  First, I needed a cookie sheet to display them on.  The Lots of Labels Framelits worked perfectly.  Then I needed a sentiment…I thought this was too cute.  (my a-ha moment)  I took the “making spirits bright” from the Tin of Tags Stamp Set and cut another “b” and placed it were the “m” goes.  LOVE IT!

CARD:  The base starts with Early Espresso layered with Whisper White and Real Red.  The Real Red is embossed with the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  [TIP:  You’ll need to cut this slightly larger (1/16″) because the intricate embossing shrinks the paper size.]

BAKED COOKIES:  I just want to pick one up and take a bite.  [grin]  Cut two of the #4 (I think) Lot of Labels Framelits in Smoky Slate.  Sponge the edges with Smoky Slate ink.  Cut the ends from one label, sponge the cut edges as well.  Adhere these pieces to the full label.  Then adhere 1/8″ sponged strips to the sides to finish the cookie sheet.  Too cute!  Cut out the “cookie” images and place them onto the cookie sheet with Dimensionals.  Sweet!  To add the bit of height the cookie sheet is also popped with Dimensionals.

SENTIMENT:  I took the “making spirits brights” from Tin of Tags stamp set and heat embossed it onto Vellum with Silver Embossing Powder.  [TIP:  I did mask the “m” so it wasn’t part of the embossed image.]  Then I emboss the “b” area a second time and hand cut the “b” and placed it with a glue dot.  Finally, the entire sentiment was placed with glue dots.

I am so looking forward to starting my holiday baking.  I hope this gets you in the mood as well.  I hope you have a great day.  Until next time happy stamping!
