I am so excited to get to share this bright, fun and spring-y card with you! When I first saw the “card in a box” basic design I thought “that would make a fun spring basket of flowers. So………my inspiration challenge began. Lol!
I began with the basket and knew that if I layered pieces embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder and a bit of sponging it would look like a basket. Then…….I really liked the strong bold look of punched flower shapes (Pansy & Petite Petal Punches) with sponging around the edges to give dimension. I really went all out and put them on stems with leaves AND I made the interior strips that everything is glued to using Garden Green to tie it all together. I also put backs on each flower so the stems didn’t show! Yes [grin], I added a wee bit of sparkle to the center of each flower with Silver Glimmer paper and rhinestones to each butterfly. This card makes me smile each time I look at it sitting on my work table. 😎
