“Spooky” Witch

500pxl Spooky Witch

Good morning stampin’ peeps!  I had a wonderful time Saturday stamping with all my ladies in my morning and evening classes.  They are such a riot and they brighten my day whenever I see them.  You ladies rock!!!

This is the first of the designs we created in September’s class.  I was playing around with the “spooky” from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Die Set and inspiration struck.  Those “O’s” sure look like eyes……a design was born!  The “witches hat” is from the Howl-o-ween Treat Stamp Set.  Let’s get started then.

BASE CARD:  The base size is long & narrow (my go to—3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) in Mossy Meadow. layered with the Lots of Labels Framelit (largest size) in Basic Black topped with Textured Rich Razzleberry.  The Basic Black layer was split in the middle horizontally and spread apart to give the narrow reveal at the top and bottom.  This was popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

FOCAL POINT:  It’s the “witch-ish” face of course.  Lol!  But, she is placed onto an Old Olive oval die cut from the Ovals Collection Framelits. This was popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.   The “witch’s hat” is from the Howl-o-Ween Treat Stamp Set that was stamped onto Pumpkin Pie with VersaMark and heat embossed in Black.  The stars are punched from the Confetti Stars Border Punch in Dazzling Details Glimmer.  This too was popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  (More height is better!  Lol!!!)  The “mouth” is Pumpkin Pie.  On the edge punch in about 3/8″ with the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle punch, then slide a 1/2″ circle punch into the center of the punched out area (not the piece that flew out at you, Lol!) and adjust until you get the shallow or depth of mouth you’d like.

SENTIMENT:  The “spooky” is from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Die Set cut in Basic Black.  The whites of the eyes are the rain drops I punched from the Build A Tree punch in Whisper White.  I glue them to the back of the “oo” then “pook” to the oval with the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen which makes it super easy to apply with pin point ease.
