So Sweet Stippled Blossoms

So Sweet Stippled Blossoms

Happy Monday Everyone!  I had a great weekend, which included attending a fun Santa Boot class as my local Boutique Craft Store ……. K.Marie.  Yes, I sometime like to get out and play with others.  Lol!  I’ll be posting a pic in the next day or so of the sparkly Santa Boot I made.  😎

Today’s post is from my July Card Class using the Stippled Blossoms stamp set.  I’ve had this set for a while and was a little intimidated by it.  It is a 2-Step stamp set and offers so many choices I could never decide.  I was at K.Marie a couple months ago and found this lovely vintage napkin and instantly thought “wow, this would be perfect for my Stippled Blossoms stamp set”.  Below is the napkin.  I couldn’t get the gold to work so I went with a tone on tone for the leaves which I love just as much.

Napin Inspiration

The base is Whisper White embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and bottom corners rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.  On the Whisper White layer I stamped the solid flower image first using Strawberry Slush.  I also broke out my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the “stippled” flower image with Melon Mambo.  I’m usually brave enough to eye-ball 2-step stamping but this time I just couldn’t get them to align enough to make me happy.  My Type-A flag was flying high.  Lol!  Next I inked the solid leaf with Wild Wasabi, stamped off then stamped onto the Whisper White layer, next I stamped the “stippled” leaf fully inked with Wild Wasbi onto the solid leaf.  I was able to eye-ball the leaves, they were off slightly but I was okay with that.  The stamped Whisper White was layered onto Strawberry Slush and placed onto the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The band was created with the Faux Suede technique then adhered to the stamped image centered.  Next, the sentiment from Hello There was stamped in Wild Wasabi and punched with the Extra Large Oval.  I sponged the Whisper White cardstock with Pink Pirouette before stamping, because it gave a softer look then using Pink Pirouette card stock.  Punch two Extra Large Strawberry Slush ovals, cutting one in half horizontally and the other in half vertically.  Adhere the top and bottom oval halves to the stamped oval then the left and right halves, this will give you a narrow (1/8″) Strawberry Slush frame.  Pop the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally I added one rhinestone to each side of the sentiment to give a touch of sparkle.  😎  I enjoy receiving your comments and love reading them.  Thank you!
