Man-o-man did we have a rainy weekend here. We got over 1.75 inches of rain on Saturday. I’m so glad I didn’t have to go anywhere. I did have a great bunch of stampers come on Saturday morning and evening for my monthly card classes. We made five adorable projects. The first one was this Valentine card which is today’s post as well as an adorable mini Valentine Treat Box which I’ll be posting next Monday.
Today’s Valentine design begins with a Real Red Base that is 3-1/8″ x 5″. Next I took the large squiggle circle from the online only “Snuggles & Smooches” and overlap stamped onto a Crumb Cake strip using VersaMark ink this gives a background feel without being too dark. After I embossed the Love in White onto the Basic Black banner I realized the new 1-1/4″ White Jute ribbon would be a perfect accompaniment. Sweet!!! (It’s available in the new Occasions Catalog) I found that layering the ribbon over a Whisper White strip made the ribbon pop nicely. I then popped the embossed Love banner with Dimensionals and fussy cut the oodles of stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White (yes, it’s magic!) and popped it as well. This is a great gender neutral design that I was excited to share with my Pinkstampagne peeps in this month’s class.
Thank you stopping by today and have a great Monday! Go Seahawks!!!
