Snowman – Gift Box Punch Board

Snowman Gift Box Punch Board

I have found the perfect way to use the Gift Box Punch Board beyond gift boxes.  My snowman is pretty darn cute if I do say so myself.  I decided to adhere the upper body pieces together so he wouldn’t topple over and leave the bottom body box open to put a gift.

The boxes are Whisper White, the pieces are 12×12, 10×10, 6×6 and 4×4.  I felt he needed a scarf, so I ended up making a really short “box” free-hand from Real Red Glimmer with a couple strips draped down the side, so it looked like it was wrapped around his neck.  The hat also has a narrow Real Red Glimmer to help tie it all together.  The coolest part is the “faux coal” circles for the front and his face.  I was thinking how could I create something that looked like coal.  I had my a-ha moment when I seriously crumpled a piece of Basic Black card stock and then slightly flattened it out.  I then gently rubbed VersaMark over the front and embossed it with black embossing powder.  It was perfect!!  It was crinkled and some parts were shiny like coal.  I hope I have inspired you to try this adorable stack of boxes.  Have a great Tuesday!
