Sneak Peek – Wondrous Wreath (Fall)

Wondrous Wreath-Autumn

Happy Labor Day everyone!  I hope you are having a great weekend and will be enjoying the last (unofficial) day of summer.  We had quite a bit of rain on Saturday (boy was it muggy) but we are now on the upswing to warmer weather.

Today I have for you my “Fall” version using Wondrous Wreath (2-step) stamp set.  We learned an easy and fast way to color using sponge daubers at Convention this year.  Step 1:  Ink up the main stamp with Crushed Curry; Step 2:  Daub (just push down, don’t swirl) with Cajun Craze, then stamp onto Whisper White card stock.  Step 3:  Ink up the 2nd step leaf stamp with Old Olive and stamp onto the prestamped leaves.  [TIP:  Stampin’ Up! was thinking ahead with this set.  They created a tab on each coordinating stamp to more easily align the images.  Yay!]   More awesome tricks I learned at Convention this year are additional uses for our new Blendabilities Markers.  Not only can you create fabulous blended images you can also color our Basic Jewels Rhinestones and Pearls.  Which if you look closely I did with the smallest pearls and placed in groups of four.  [TIP:  Color them while they are still on their packaging sheet and let dry for a few minutes.]  Also, you can color our ribbons.  I took Whisper White 1/2″ Seam Binding and colored it with the darkest Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities Marker.  I was being impatient and only waited for barely couple minutes before tying the bow, but it was already dry.  How cool is that!  I hope I’ve inspired you to give these fun and easy techniques a try.  Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment!  I hope you have a great Labor Day Monday and Happy Stamping!
