What a beautiful Saturday afternoon! The weather here is a nice 75 degrees, I’m even had to put on shorts. Yay! I just love these surprise sunny and warm fall days. I hope you’re having a nice day as well. I also attended and presented at our Fall BZB Hive Happening this morning and had a great time seeing everyone and saying hello – as well as presenting projects made using the new Gift Box Punch Board. Speaking of which I’m super excited to say that I have been asked to be a guest designer in November Craft Project Central. I will be creating a tutorial showing my version of an “explosion” box that houses a surprise removable Christmas Tree you give to that special person. I would love if you would leave me a comment when my project is posted next month. I’ll let you know when that will be. It would make my day and month!
I was on a roll with the Cheerful Tags stamps set making gift tags that I also made several more featuring the Festival of Trees stamp set. Three cards (previously posted) and now four gift tags from the beautiful set, what a great way to get your moneys worth. Woohoo!
TAG 1: Starts with 2″ x 4″ (+/-) rectangle in Whisper White, which slides perfectly into the Scallop Tag Topper punch to create the tag top. The “red” tree is stamped in Versamark and embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, topped with small rhinestones. The bottom band is Cherry Cobbler cardstock with a Silver Foil and Silver Glimmer mini-band, then topped with 1-1/4″ Cherry Cobbler Linen Ribbon tied into a cute topper with Whisper White Baker’s Twine.
TAG 2: Starts with 2″ x 4″ (+/-) rectangle in Whisper White, which slides perfectly into the Angled Tag Topper punch to create the tag top. It is stamped with the solid tree stamp in Old Olive with the garland stamped in VersaMark and embossed with Silver embossing powder. Then topped with the small silver sequins in the Frosted Sequins Embellishments pack and the mini bird stamped in Cherry Cobbler and fussy cut. Yes, it wasn’t fun, but I pulled my big girl panties up and did it. Lol! The tag is also topped with 1-1/4″ Cherry Cobbler Linen Ribbon (it is just yummy) and tied with Linen Thread.
TAG 3: Starts with a 2-3/4″ Whisper White Circles Collection Framelits circle base and a second circle that was punched with the Tree punch then die cut with the 2-3/4″ circle in Crumb Cake. Place the punched Crumb Cake circle onto the Whisper White circle, then stamp the tree image in Old Olive. Then pop the Crumb Cake circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The star is punched from Gold Foil using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack star shape and applied with a glue dot. The sentiment is a narrow layer of Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White stamped in Cherry Cobbler and applied to the bottom of the tree with two Stampin’ Dimensional halved. Next it was topped with a small Neutrals button and Linen Thread bow. Then I finished by punching a 1/4″ circle and tied with 1/4″ Chocolate Chip Cotton Ribbon.
TAG 4: Stars with a 2-1/2″ punched Whisper White Circle stamped with Daffodil Delight stars. The tree is stamped three times onto Old Olive cardstock in Old Olive ink, then punched with the Tree punch. Fold each tree in half lengthwise then glue together. Next adhere a narrow strip of Soft Suede to the circle for the tree trunk and then adhere the tree on top of that. I layered the sentiment Whisper White layer stamped in Cherry Cobbler onto Old Olive and trimmed to leave a narrow reveal and popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I finished by punching a 1/4″ circle and tied with 1/4″ Whisper White Cotton Ribbon.
