September Card Class (4 of 5)

Halloween Hello - Candy Corn

This is the fourth design we created in September’s Card Class!  It is made from the new Thinlits Circle Card Die with the right side extended to create the fold on the right.  We received the Halloween Hello stamp set at convention, I challenged myself to create a fun Halloween card.  For me, Halloween is all about the candy so I wanted to make the front circle look like a piece of wrapped candy.  I cut a circle from a window sheet and stamped the words with stazon so they would……….well, stay on.  [grin]  I then cut 1″ squares of white velum and folded and taped them to look like a piece of wrapped candy.  Hmmmm………….butterscotch candies anyone?  After stamping and coloring the strip of candy corns they needed a little pop so I added just a touch from my white gel pen to give that pop of white.

Halloween Hello - Candy Corn Inside

When the right card extension is folded over it gives loads of space for writing your words.  I had extra candy corns stamped and colored so I had my “A-HA” moment and cut them out and added them to the inside.  I love the extra bit of color it added!
