I have been surprised by how much I’ve come to like the newest In Colors and I’ve surprised myself this year with all the Halloween and Autumn colored projects I’ve created with the new In Colors.
We learned a super easy and cool technique on Convention earlier this year. You ink up the image with Crushed Curry, then with daubers dab Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist onto the image. The more random and less perfect the better it comes out. They had us stamp off, but I forgot, and this is a fully inked stamped image and I love it even more. It’s striking and very colorful.
The base card is Tangelo Twist. The face layers are Mossy Meadow and Naturals White. The pumpkins and hello banner are stamped on Very Vanilla. I stamped one pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie and the other in Tangelo Twist with Mossy Meadow stems. The banner is a stamp from Fall Fest and was stamped in Crushed Curry. The pumpkins and banner were fussy cut. My ladies tried to whine about fussy cutting but when they were finished they said “hey it wasn’t that bad”. I laughed and said “I told you so”. Lol! The strip is Mossy Meadow with the Faux Suede technique. There is also a slightly narrower banner behind the “hello” banner. I hope you enjoy this project and will give the stamping technique a try.
