Yup, these macarons were created using the Piece of Cake. When I first saw the Piece of Cake stamp set I knew I wanted to create something totally unexpected. I was playing around and thought “huh, these look like macarons. This Piece of Cake Macarons card is cute as well as brite.
I clear embossed the image in three bright colors (Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo), then I added a very narrow strip of sparkle glimmer paper. Of course it needed more sparkle. Lol!
Instead of dry embossing the Gorgeous Grape square I added texture by stamping Gorgeous Grape ink onto the Gorgeous Grape Square using the Burplap Background Stamp. It is now retired but the new Crackle Paint Background Stamp would make a great substitute.
The Wood Textures Designer Paper used for the Macaron plate backdrop has also retired but the Birch Background Stamp would make a good substitution. Stamp the Birch Background in Sahara Sand onto a Whisper White square.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a great day and are inspired by today’s Piece of Cake Macacons design.
