I had a great, fun and busy weekend. First off the weather was perfect!!!……mid-70’s and sunny after the morning clouds burned off. Saturday was my long time friend’s (from high school) 50th birthday. I can’t believe I just a little over a year from that milestone! Eek!!! I took her to breakfast and then we went to our upline’s new catty open house and auction. This event is such fun, some of the long time attendees get really excited (bid very aggressively in a friendly way). Then Sunday I had my new catty open house and had a good turnout and was able to lighten my retired items load. 😎 An all around great weekend.
Today’s post is the second from my May iWOW U Class. All the cards in this month’s class featured the versatile Envelope Punch Board and were geared toward those guys in our lives. All my classes in May are always geared toward the masculine because I don’t know about you but I never seem to have enough of them. I really try to design these cards without going overtly manly…… fisherman, motorcycle, animal, etc……..so they could be for male OR female. You wouldn’t think but this can be very tricky. Anyhoo…….I took the striped design sheet from Modern Medley Designer Series Paper and cut into strips, then I cut 1/8″ Foil Silver strips and adhered them to the center of the DSP strips……..can you say “subtle shine”. Lol! I couldn’t help myself I had to include a subtle bow to balance the heat embossed sentiment (more subtle shine). I don’t know about you but after I put this together and covered the bow with my finger it totally reminds of a bowling shirt. Leave me a comment letting me know if you think so as well or if it reminds you of something else. Last but not least…….A shout out to Deb Valder for the great envelope punch board gate-fold inspiration!
