Here is the third design I created featuring the sneak peek Moroccan Nights stamp set. Woohoo! After finishing the Gift Bag Topper and Medallion I thought “well heck, I’ve created two projects I might as well make a third”. Lol! I was looking at the remaining stamps and saw the three lanterns and my A-ha moment happened. I remembered a card layout that we made in April’s class. Click here if you’d like to check it out. The tri-panel layout works wonderfully with the three different lanterns. I really love how the gold and white play off each other as well as the clean simplicity. Woohoo!
BASE: The base starts with Whisper White embossed with the Boho Chic embossing folder. I toiled with which folder to use because I wanted to keep the moroccan “feel” and not look too modern. Then I added three 1/8″ strips of Gold Foil to tie the three images together. Sweet!
FOCAL IMAGES: I imagined this in gold so I stamped the trio of images onto Whisper White and heat embossed in (of course) gold, then layered onto Gold Foil. (Hello!!! Lol!) When embossing the lanterns I left off the “chains”. (Hang on, you’ll see why in just moment.) Next I added several strands of Gold Metallic Thread twisted together by poking a hole in the top of the lantern, then threaded it through and taping both ends to the back.
FINISHING TOUCHES: To add the all important height and dimension the trio of panels are popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I topped each lantern with mini-pearls. They add a nice subtle pearly shine and tie them together. [Eek! Happy chair dance ensued.]
I hope you enjoy this clean and simple layout as much as I do. Thank you for popping by today. Have a great Friday and weekend.
