Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a wonderful day with family and friends. We are spending a quite day at home and I’ll be making cookie plate deliveries tomorrow and Sunday.
I wanted to share the clean & simple Christmas card I made for Derek this year. The wreath shape is made from the leftover foam donut from a spool of ribbon.
CARD BASE: I started with Very Vanilla and layered it with Mossy Meadow and the Real Red and Very Vanilla striped paper from the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper.
FOCAL POINT: I took the foam donut shape from an empty spool of ribbon and cut a third away. Then I wrapped the wreath with Pear Pizzazz 1/2″ Seam Binding (vintage). I left the ribbon unglued when wrapping around and only glued the ends to the back. I punched multiple branch shapes from Mossy Meadow, Always Artichoke and Pear Pizzazz and tucked a different color branch into each layer of ribbon. Then I topped the wreath with a Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding (vintage) bow with a couple glue dots. Next, I had leftover colored rhinestones and placed them around the wreath. Hello…..I had to add sparkle. Lol! Finally, it was placed on the card with several glue dots.
SENTIMENT: I stamped “Merry Christmas” from the More Merry Messages stamp set (vintage) onto Very Vanilla in Mossy Meadow ink. I felt the need to fussy cut and then popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you have a wonderful and Merry Christmas. Thank you for stopping by today and have a great weekend.
