Have you ever started on a design and when you were finished had several more ideas you wanted to create? Well, I did with the Little Ladybug Sale-a-bration stamp set. I’m not a fan of coloring, but once I started I just couldn’t stop. Stampin’ Blends made coloring these wee ladybugs super fast and easy. This post is my Little Ladybugs Part 2. Lol!
This clean and simple design is perfect to create easily and quickly. The narrow band of ladybugs is just adorable colored in Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink. I found stamping them in a row was just enough to create a fun band and make someone smile. Adding the Basket Weave embossed rectangle added just the right amount of texture. AND the “cute as a bug” sentiment is perfect.
I really had a fun time stamping this square design and keeping the coloring to a minimum, which I love! I added a little bit of shine by heat embossing the images in black. This also made coloring “within the lines” easier. TIP: Make sure you that you fully heat the emboss powder to set it so it doesn’t smear when coloring. Popping the black square along with the ladybug gives this fun dimension.
