Good Tuesday morning! Well, we made it through the rain and the Trick or Treat’ers on Saturday night. We had almost 2″ of rain on Saturday. There was a lot of flooding around town, fortunately we didn’t have to go anywhere on Saturday. Even with all the rain, we had five Trick or Treat’ers. That was five more then we had last year. We always have candy just in case. When the first three knocked Derek and I looked at each other and said “are you expecting anyone?”, then we went “oh crap it’s Trick or Treaters”. Lol! I ran downstairs and gave them several pieces of candy for walking up our long dark private driveway. OH, even better news! Our roof hasn’t leaked!!! This weekend was the test of our new roof. IT PASSED! Woohoo!!!
Today’s post is the second design we created in October’s card class. If you want a clean, simple and quick card this is the one for you. I’ve been pondering what to do with all the washi tape I have in my stash. Lol! (you know we all have one, some bigger then others) I was inspired by a swap card I received earlier this year and decided to just go for it. (I’m sorry there was not a name on the back. If you are the person or know who it is please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.)
CARD BASE: The base is Brushed Gold (vintage) layered with Basic Black, then topped with a folded piece of Whisper White. [TIP: Rounding corners can help soften the look of your card if it feels too rigid…..give it a try].
SENTIMENT: The Washi Tape strips were placed at an angle giving it e a less rigid feel as well. I did have to cut the Washi Tape, I just couldn’t tear it. My Type “A” flag flying. Lol! The “Hello” is from the Hello You Thinlits Die Set cut from Glimmer Black.
See, I told you it was clean, simple, quick. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great Tuesday!
