There are times when I’m designing that I create one design then I’m inspired to create a second. Well……then I say “what the heck” I should create a third one. Lol! This is the first of three designs featuring the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set. This stamp set has a variety of images and shapes that makes it easy to create a variety of different designs.
BASE: For the base I started with a Long & Narrow size in Pink Pirouette. I trimmed 7/8″ from the front lengthwise. Next I cut a 1″ Melon Mambo strip and used the Faux Suede technique to give a bit of texture by adhering it to the right edge of the base.
EMBOSSED FLOWERS: After several attempts I went with Silver Embossing the flowers to add shine. First, I stamped the solid flower several times in Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo then silver embossed the flower outline. Then I fussy cut each large flower. Next I punched several flower shapes and layered them into the opposite color flower. I love the visual depth this gives each flower. The flowers were adhered to a 3/4″ Silver Foil strip then popped with Dimensionals onto a 1-1/4″ Vellum strip. Finally, I adhered the Vellum strip to the right edge of the card front. I love the layered look and depth this gives the design.
SENTIMENT: Well, I finally got to use my Vertical Greetings Stamp Set. Woohoo! I was inspired to add the sentiment that was heat embossed in Silver onto a vellum strip. It was then adhered to the back side of the card front.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Until next time happy stamping!
