Guy Greetings – Anchor (part 2)

Guy Greetings - Anchor

Well, Happy Friday my Pinkstampagne Peeps!

Today’s design is the second of three I created from the Guy Greetings stamp set in the Occasions Catalog.  It was for our BZBStampers Stamp Together which allows demonstrators to gather and socialize, play and see what they just can’t live without (“dang it, now I’m going to HAVE to get that”  Lol!) with new items from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs.

Okay…….my mission was to create three design from the Guy Greetings stamp set, but after finishing the muscle-y guy (click here to see post) I started on this clean and simple design and the colors just fell into place…….like it was meant to be.  I started with the Anchor medallion and let the rest of the card come together naturally.  After determining (after several coloring tries) that I only wanted to color the rope wound around the anchor, in Sahara Sand, that determined the strip down the middle should be in Sahara Sand as well to pull the two together.  Both the Anchor and You’re My Anchor were stamped in Early Espresso.  [TIP:  Both of these could be embossed in Early Espresso to add another layer of interest (shine!).]  I used a combination of Circle punches and Circles Collection–Framelits to make the medallion (I love just the hint of Sahara Sand peaking out behind the Anchor).  The Island Indigo circle was feeling a bit sad for me so I broke out with my paper piercing template (which I hadn’t used in forever) and pierced away.  When I finished I said “yes, that’s it”!  The card base is Natural White as well as what the Anchor is stamped on.

I hope you have a great day and have enjoyed today’s post.
