Golden, Glimmery Hello (August Class 3 of 5)

120dpi Glimmer Hello

Good morning stampin’ peeps!  Today I have for you the third design from my August Class.  I couldn’t resist featuring one of the designs from the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper from the new Holiday Catalog.  I’m am super excited that it is now live!!!  If you don’t have one give me a shout out and I’ll get you hooked up.

CARD BASE:  The Whisper White base is slightly smaller then a traditional A2 size.  I wanted to maximize this lovely Designer Series Paper (page 23).  It is a gold and white stripe and the paper feels smooth and shiny, similar to wrapping paper only much thicker.  LOVE IT!  I cut 3″ x 4″  pieces and layered them onto Basic Black, and then popped the layers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

FOCAL POINT:  To tie the sentiment frame with card base layers I embossed Basic Black with the rectangular frame from Fun Frames Embossing Folder set.  I did fussy cut this out and it is well worth it.  The embossing makes following the edges pretty easy and adds another elegant element.  This too is popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  More height is always good!  Well, except if you have to mail it.  We can always work about that, right?  Lol!

SENTIMENT:  I have been playing with the Greetings Thinlits Die set and the “Hello” in Gold Glimmer just spoke to me.  Oh, we also got to use the new fine-tip glue pen (page 43) to adhere the “Hello”.  It makes applying the glue to your small/narrow pieces (aka, “hello”) a breeze.

I really love the clean simplicity of this design and the layout could be re-purposed in many different ways.  I love a good layout.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have enjoyed todays design.  Also, I hope you have a great Wednesday!
