Good Friday morning stampin’ peeps!
Today I’m went for a simple but Wow! design. When I opened the new Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper pack and was flipping through the designs I came across this lovely design. It is akin to black & white (which I love) and almost too busy but stops just short. I love it along with several of the designs from the paper pack.
BASE: The Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper just screamed “keep me simple”. Lol! So that is what I did. The base starts with Whisper White, layered with Night of Navy and the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper. To add dimension the Night of Navy Layer was popped with Dimensionals.
FOCAL POINT: The base for the sentiment is Whisper White layered with Night of Navy that I applied my “go to” technique…….Faux Suede. [Take your strip and run the edge of a Stampin’ Up! bone folder over one half several times then rotate 180 degrees and repeat. Then flip the strip over and repeat the previous two steps. You may need to repeat all the steps several times depending on the humidity.] The band is also popped with Dimensionals. More height is a good thing, right?. Lol! [TIP: Our bone folder does work best for this technique. I’ve tried several others and mostly the edges are just too sharp. The slightly rounded edge works best.]
SENTIMENT: I also wanted to play with a new die as well. So I decided on the “congrats” from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Die Set. [You’re probably thinking, “what no stamping?”. That’s right! Woohoo!!!] I die cut it from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, along with the three dots. [I tried without success to get the sparkle to show in the pic. Oh, well, I tried. (grin)]
I hope you had a great week and have a wonderful Friday and weekend! I also hope you enjoyed today’s post. Thank you for stopping by today.
