OMGosh! This cutie makes me smile whenever I look at it. I was inspired by my own “Shoppe ‘Til You Drop” card. I was channeling those who enjoy dressing up as Santa for the kiddies (and maybe even some adults). Lol!
The base is a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ Real Red base stamped with the Woodgrain background stamp in Real Red. The window was cut with a Squares Collection Framelit. The window frame was created from Squares Collection Framelits one size smaller and larger then the base card opening in Basic Black. The mullions are 1/8″ strips of Basic Black. I glued the mullions to frame, then glued the frame to the front opening centered. The “sign” is a 3/8″ strip of Silver Foil stamped with StaZon Jet Black.
Isn’t this just the cutest! Open up the “door” and shop for the perfect Santa suit. I envisioned the display looking just like this. Sooooooooo cute!!!
The table is made from Silver Foil (I wanted to add a bit more sparkle. Lol!) punched with the Project Life Corner Round and Decorative Label punches. I did heat emboss the Santa suit and hat in Basic Black to get a good solid black and it makes it easier to stay within the lines when coloring. (Type A flag flying. Lol!) I used my blender pen and Real Red Classic Ink Pad to color the suit and hat giving a bit of darker shading on the left side. I colored the boot with a Basic Black marker too. The table is placed flat then the suit, hat and one boot were popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I hope you enjoy this fun card and much as I did. Happy Friday Eve, and I hope you have a great day.
