Happy Wednesday my stampin’ peeps!  I’m so loving this striking color combination of  Pear Pizzazz and Calyspo Coral, but what truly makes this “pop” is the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper (Black & White Mini Hearts).  When I started designing Monday’s card (you can check it out by clicking here) I began with this card base and DSP it is a narrow and kinda-long size.  I was thinking to have the leaves come off the edges 3/8″ on each side so it would actually be 5-1/2″ in length.  Well, that didn’t pan out (in a good way) and this base was sitting on my table calling to me “make me into something”.  So, today’s post is actually a semi-use what you have design.  Don’t we all have lots of those hanging around?  Lol!

The base is Pear Pizzazz (3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″) layered with Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper (Black & White Mini Hearts).  I kept with the Flower Frenzy Die Theme and created a slightly smaller flower (the three smallest 5-petal flowers) in Calypso Coral.  I sponged the edges on both sides with Calyso Coral ink and curled the edges to add more depth.  [TIP:  I over curled the edges and then after a while pushed my finger from the center out of each petal to unfurl slightly.]  The leaves are the middle flower size die cut in Old Olive generously sponged with Pear Pizzazz ink.  The flower center is a brad from the Antique Brads assortment.  Okay, I did add the rhinestone in the center of the brad, HELLO, it just didn’t have enough sparkle.  Lol!  If the sponging and curling on the flower wasn’t enough, and it wasn’t.  [grin]  I punched a piece of Calypso Coral with the Label Bracket punch and sponged with edges with Calypso Coral ink.  Then stamped the Birthday sentiment from Tag Talk onto Whisper White with Momento Tuxedo Black and fussy cut it out which left just a hint of the Calypso Coral showing.  I just love that 1/16″ reveal!!!  Finally I stamped the Birthday with Old Olive ink onto Pear Pizzazz and fussy cut just the “birthday” part.

I just love how this card looks as-well-as coordinates with the previous design.  Are you starting to see the pattern?  Lol!  Drama…distressing (aka sponging)…sparkle, what a great combination.  Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed today’s post and will leave me a comment.  Have a great Wednesday!
