Every Good Wish, Be Merry

Every Good Wish, Be Merry

All I want to say is I LOVE this new stamp set……Every Good Wish!  I had such fun designing three different swaps for our local New Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog swap.  Today’s design is the first of three featuring the Every Good Wish stamp set.  I also just had to play with the shiny new Foil Snowflakes.  Yay!

Leave it to me to add even more shine.  Lol!  I started with the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper layer, adding a smaller Whisper White layer to rest the Golden Foil Snowflake and Coordinating Old Olive/Clear Embossed “Be Merry” on.  The foil and embossed shine looked FAB but it felt like it still needed a bit more shine to tie it all together.  So guess what?  I added Gold Foil layers beneath the DSP and Whisper White layers.  This made it!  [did my “happy chair dance”  Lol!]

I love me some embossing so I used one of my “go to” techniques……Coordinated Heat Embossing.  You achieve this look by lightly (and I do mean lightly) tap your VersaMark ink pad then ink up with your chosen ink color……mine was Old Olive.  Then I stamped it onto Whisper White and quickly dusted with Clear Embossing Powder.  After heating to a gloss I fussy cut, leaving a narrow white edge.  This layered onto the Gold Foil Snowflake with one flake tip cut away so the shape was slightly oval……perfect!

A peek of gold is a great pairing with the Old Olive and Whisper White.  The Gold Foil Snowflakes are to die for!  They are gold on one side and silver on the other.  You really should give them a try.

This stamp set helped me to keep my designs clean and simple with just a perfect amount of shine.  Woohoo!  Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend and get creative!
