Eastern Palace Suite Dream Catcher

Eastern Palace Suite Dream Catcher

Happy Monday!  I you ever thought……so much you want to do and not enough time?  Well, when I opened my box filled with the Eastern Palace Suite items we were able to pre-order starting May 1st I needed a little inspiration.  After creating my design for our Eastern Palace Suite swap I was looking for a little mojo.  I was truly intimidated by this suite.  “So many things to play with and so little time”.

I, of course, went to Pinterest for inspiration, as most of us do.  (grin)  I came across a pretty Dream Catcher card using our paper lace doilies and actual feathers by Brigitte Keiling and she was inspired by Jenni Pauli.  Thank you ladies for the inspiration.  I thought “heck I surely can create a Dream Catcher using the Eastern Medallions Thinlits and Mini Tassels Assortment”.  And this Eastern Palace Suite Dream Catcher card was born.

BASE:  The base is Thick Whisper White layered with Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I must tell you that I went with a 4″ x 5-1/2″ size so I could get the most per 12″ x 12″ sheet if I were to make this in class.  That’s how I roll these days, at least I try.  Lol!  Then I added two layers of regular Whisper White cardstock popped up with Dimensionals.  To breakup all the “White” of the card I stamped the “Swoosh” image from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set twice, stamping off first to get a lighter Fresh Fig color.  (TIP:  This could also be done with a wash using an Aqua Painter Brush.)

DREAM CATCHER:  It started with a medium and small shape from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits.  To get the “frame” I used one of the larger circles from the Stitched Shapes Framlits.  You may notice the very center, that is another of the many shapes in the Eastern Medallions Thinlits in Dapper Denim topped with a small Gold Metallic Enamel Shape.  (What can I say…..I was calling out for it.  (Lol!)  Then for the “feathers” I went with one of each color fro mthe Mini Tassels Assortment tied with vintage gold cording.

SENTIMENT:  Not only does the Eastern Palace Stamp Set include loads of shapes it also has several sentiments making it an all-around good stamp set.  Because this is a Photopolymer stamp set I was able to make several cuts into to the stamp so it would easily lie straight.  It is a slightly curved image.  I stamped in onto a 3/8″ strip and Gold Embossed then punched each end with the Classic Label Punch.  Why?  Because it was a little too long to fit into the punch.

You can check out more about the special Eastern Palace Suite bundles here available May 1st thru May 31st only.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great Monday!
