Dressed to Impress Trio

When I first perused the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog the “Dressed to Impress” stamp set was the first thing on my “gotta get” list. I loved all the fun girly images and sentiments. Stamp sets with many images and sentiments are what I tend to gravitate toward. Today’s post shares three designs I created using this fun stamp set. These are my Dressed to Impress Trio designs.

Dress to Impress Trio

My first design I stamped the perfume bottle all over the Crumb Cake piece to get an allover background effect. Next, the black band adds subtle texture with the Faux Suede technique. Then I layered a white oval spritzed with Frost Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol onto the Basic Black oval. Finally, I colored the perfume bottle with Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo Blends and popped with Dimensionals to add “more height”. (a good thing!)

My second design features the lipstick image from the stamp set. It was fun to create a rainbow of lipsticks for this design. I colored each lipstick with Stampin’ Blends in both light and dark shades. I added a bit of shine by Black heat embossing the “hello” and fussy cutting. Oh, I felt it needed some texture for the background (sometimes you need a little texture, right?!?) so I embossed with the Corrugated Emboss Folder.

My final design uses both the Perfume Bottle and Lipstick images with random dots. The dots were made from a single dot cut from a cluster of dots stamp also in the set. This design I CASE’d (copy and selectively edit) from Margriet Tournier. I chose to fit the design to a 4-1/2 x 5-1/2 size card. It was fun tweaking it to fit the A2 size. I am very Type-A when it come to design so the “random” dots took me several tries. Lol!
