Good Monday Morning Stampin’ peeps! I was finally able to get caught up on my sleep this weekend after Convention last week AND create some adorable designs in my studio. Are you ready to hear about it? Okay, today’s post features the Paper Pumpkin Promotion Stamp Set, that I picked up at Convention last month, which includes this Adorable two-step stamp set. Derek and I went to see the latest Cinderella from Disney of few months back and I felt they did an terrific job with this tale. The lead actors did a good job and I really liked that they were not well known so I didn’t have any preconceptions. I also thoroughly enjoyed Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother, she was hilarious and delightful. This role suited her to a tee. So, the movie and this stamp set have inspired me to create this fun and whimsical card. I hope you enjoy it!
BASE CARD: It begins with a Pink Pirouette base. The corners are rounded to soften the edges. The layered Deco Label Framelits shapes are Whisper White cut from the largest Deco Labels Framelits layered on top of Silver Foil. To create the Silver Foil Frame cut two of the Silver Foil pieces the same size as the Whisper White then cut one in half horizontally and the other vertically. Next, glue the horizontal pieces to the Whisper White leaving a 1/16″ reveal, then glue the vertical pieces leaving a 1/16″ reveal as well. Adhere layered pieces to base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
FOCAL POINT: When I saw the Paper Pumpkin Promotion kit it included this fun two-step stamp image along with sentiments to inspire interest in Paper Pumpkin. Well, not only did it inspire interest in Paper Pumpkin for me, it also gave me the inspiration to create this adorable Cinderella Carriage design. I stamped the solid image first in Pink Pirouette onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next I stamped the outline image with VersaMark lining up with the solid image and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. [TIP: Make sure to let the ink dry for a couple minutes before generously rubbing with an Embossing Buddy.] I then cut out the carriage and popped it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I stamped the spiral circle outline in the image twice with VersaMark onto Whisper White and heat embossed with silver then punched both with a 7/8″ circle punch. Then I punched two 1″ circles in Silver Glimmer. Adhere the embossed circles onto the Glimmer circle with large glue dots, then adhere to carriage with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Ultimately you will have three layers of dimensionals, so this card won’t be heavy but it will be a be thick for mailing.
SENTIMENT: I was searching through the catalog to find a sentiment to fit this fun and whimsical card and it was a bit of a challenge. I didn’t want to use a run-of-the-mill sentiment, I wanted it to be fun as well. So I decided on this cutie from the Happy Happenings Stamp Set. It is stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Smoky Slate, then punched with a 1-3/8″ circle and layered onto a 1-1/2″ Silver Foil circle that I punched as well.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed today’s design and will leave me a comment. Have a great Monday!
