Here it is! My third and final design from our local demonstrator Stampin’ Up! 2017 Holiday Catalog Swap. I always enjoy participating in these and seeing what everyone creates with their set. The stamp set I selected was Christmas in the Making. This is my third of three designs that I call Christmas in the Making, Presents. (Duh! Lol!)
I had envisioned a design that could be used for Christmas as well as through out the year……like a birthday! Yay! I went with super clean and simple for this design (at least for me anyway, Lol). The retro 50’s vibe is super cute. Love it! Well……I did have to go a bit overboard and fussy cut her. (grin)
When I started on this design I had create a color theme with the previous two designs and very easily kept it going with this one. You may have also noticed I included a small “gold-ish” pop in each design. If you’d like you can check out my previous design here (design 1 and design 2).
One last tip I wanted to share is the “Faux Suede” ribbon that I added to the sentiment. It needed an element that tied the sentiment and girl together. I didn’t have any Smoky Slate ribbon so I improvised and used the Faux Suede technique on both the “ribbon” strip and “rug” the girl is sitting on. It adds a nice neutral texture to boot. Sweet!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed today’s clean and simple design featuring the Christmas in the Making stamp set.
