Good Friday morning! I’m preparing myself for a whirlwind weekend. Tonight after work Derek and I get to attend my office bowling party then we head to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to see Joe Bonamassa (he’s an awesome blues guitar player). This is part of Derek’s birthday gift. Then I’m participating in a Craft Garage Sale at the Grange in Vancouver, Washington from 9am to 2pm. If you’re local drop by and say hi. Then Sunday my mom and I have a tradition of lunching at the Old Spaghetti Factory for Mother’s Day………Yummmmmm.
This is the third design that my stampin’ peeps created in my April Card Class. It features the Celebrate You stamp set. It is a long & narrow card size with a gate fold. The base starts with Crumb Cake. The varying sized banners are Bermuda Bay (3/4″ wide), Night of Navy (1/2″ wide) and SDSP Birthday Bash (1″ wide). The SDSP is cool because it has gold foil confetti shapes. [TIP: The ends of end banner are popped with a Stampin’ Dimensional] The balloon was stamped with Bermuda Bay onto Whisper White then cut with the Balloon Framelits. Then the “birthday” was stamped with VersaMark and Gold heat embossed. Next the tassels were stamped with Night of Navy, Calypso Coral and VersaMark which was also Gold heat embossed. The balloon is popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals with the tassels being glued to look like a couple tails. I love the way the gold foil and embossing pulls each of the three elements of this card together.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Friday and weekend!
