Bow Builder Punch and New In Colors

In Color Envelope Paper Bows

Good HOT Friday to you.  I will be thankful after I make it through work today with getting ready for payroll and billings.  My brain will be mushy.  Lol!  I will happily, though, spend Saturday afternoon at my long time friend Jody’s daughter’s (Melissa) baby shower outside in 100+ degree weather.  Yikes!  I will manage, I have a battery operated personal fan that sits atop a squirt bottle that will be filled with water.  It will help keep me from melting.  Lol!  I’m so happy for Melissa, she is due close to my birthday in July.  She is a sweetheart and will make a good mom.  I’m a little nervous because I’m still working on her card.  I purchased a vintage set (1996) called Dreams & Dragon a while back and wasn’t sure what I would use it for, I just thought it was super cute.  I’m envisioning a card-in-a-box.  We’ll see how it shakes out.  I’ll make sure a take pics to share next week.

On to today’s card that features the Build a Bow punch and the new 2015-17 In Color Envelope Papers.   The Envelope Paper is a little thinner which makes great envelopes with the Envelope Punch Board, as well as, using the paper in card designs.  It has stripes (shown) and a wide wood grain with the same solid color on the back.  They also come in neutrals.

CARD BASE:  Tip Top Taupe layered with Whisper White.  Then In Color Striped Banners, adding interest as well as showcasing the newest In Colors.  😎  (Tip Top Taupe, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder)  Which is your favorite?  Of course I’m partial to Watermelon Wonder.  Lol!

FOCAL POINT:  The bows of course!  They are easy to make with the Bow Builder punch.  TIP:  I like using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to glue the bows together.  They are more stable and don’t get too thick.

SENTIMENT:  I struggled with a sentiment so I opted to not have one.  Remember……..less can be more.  Bonus–you can use it for most any occasion.  It’s also a great masculine card without having to stamp.  Double woohoo!

I hope you have a wonderful Friday and weekend.  Break out a stamp, ink and paper, and have some fun stamping this weekend.  It will make you feel better, I promise!
