Bootiful Occasions & Fringe ~ Feb Stamp Class

Pink Cowgirl Bootiful Occasions

I have fallen in love the new fringe scissors!  I had a pair of white leather boots with fringe when I was just a little girl and LOVED them!!!  They looked like mini go-go boots.  I’m pretty sure my mom still has them.  I think that was the inspiration for this fun card.  Pink, gold embossing and golden fringe I don’t think this girl could ask for anything more.

A COUPLE TIPS:  After I cut the gold strip with the fringe scissors, I cut them in half again with my paper snips to make them smaller.  I felt it still needed more texture so I cut the tips at an angle and that “hit the spot”.  I also scuffed the silver mini brad to give it an aged look (and less silver looking).

Hi Carol! I am in love with this card! It is beautiful!! One question… how did you adhere the fringe to the boot? Thank you for sharing!

      Hi Elisa,
I sliced down the left side of the boot seam with an X-acto knife. I started just below the gold tab at the top and stopped where the third star and horizontal seam meet. Next, slide the fringed strip into the slice (trimming top and bottom so it arcs slightly), then tape to the backside.

Thank you for coming to my site and for your question!!!
