Boo! To You Spiders

500pxl Howl-o-ween Treet Spider-Boo

Happy Friday!  I had a very crazy week at work.  Our new accounting assistant worked a total of three days last week and then called on Friday to say she had taken another job.  It was very disheartening to say the least.  Well my boss and I are going to pull our boot straps up and just put in the extra effort to tough it out and wait a bit before looking for another assistant.  We will make it work!  😎

Today’s card is the first of three designs I created with the Howl-o-ween Treat Stamp Set and Coordinating Boo to You Framelits Dies.  It also features the amazing Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper.  LOVE IT!  It is glossy like good wrapping paper with gold accenting along with two specialty sheets of super shiny gold designs.  This paper is truly a must get and is not just for Christmas!

CARD BASE:  Starts with Basic Black in a 3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (long & narrow-ish) size.  Then it is layered with rectangles of Tangelo Twist and the awesome Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  This is something I don’t do much, but I chose to align the layers to the right.  I know!!!  I don’t know what came over me, but I just kept scooching it to the right side.  So said “what the heck” let’s go with it.  Lol!

CO-FOCAL POINT:  They are the co-focal points on this card.  I knew I wanted to gold heat emboss the spiders to coordinate with the amazing designer paper.  I decided on Vellum because it isn’t too loud, just a hint of outline.  It’s a wee bit hard to see but I strung them from the new Gold Metallic Thread.  I KNOW!  Super cute!  They are popped with small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to add that all important height.  Lol!

SENTIMENT:  Well, it just happens to be other co-focal point.  I also knew I wanted to do the “Boo” from the Boo-to-You Framelit in Gold Foil to coordinate with the spiders and designer paper.  But, the gold, if you can believe this, felt flat so I also added a shadow layer in Vellum to coordinate with spiders.  I think the Vellum hits the subtle mark to a tee.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great Friday and wonderful weekend.
