Blossom Party Die Series – Butterfly

Pursuit of Happiness Butterfly sm I was inspired to create a trio of cards (this is the second) using the Blossom Party Sizzix Die, Pursuit of Happiness stamp set and Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral & Rich Razzleberry color combination.  The butterfly was made from the largest flower and the flowers were made from the small four petal shape.  To give the butterfly wings and flower petals dimension I used the end of the paper-piercing tool and burnished in a circular motion the center of each petal while on the paper-piercing mat.  Finally, I added a bit of sparkle (my middle name) to the flowers with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint and Alcohol.  It gives a nice subtle, well………..sparkle  😎  to the card.  The coolest part was using a pencil eraser to create the striped effect on the butterfly body.  When I added those it made the card!!!
