I love creating designs that are versatile and sassy. Lol! I recently participated a 2016-17 new catalog swap using the Biggest Birthday Ever stamp set along with the coordinating Wish Big Framelits and this was my design. I was inspired by the “Tiara” image. This is my play on a Tiara with lots of sparkle and shine. Do you think I hit the mark?
BASE: Hey, what can I say, I’m really loving the Long & Narrow card shape (3-1/4″ x 5-1/2″). The base starts with Basic Black layered with Gold Foil and Gold Embossed Confetti from the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper.
FOCAL: I had fun and layered two Silver Foil with Gold Embossing Tiara’s which I offset to give dimension. It still felt like it was missing something, sooooooo, to take it over the top and add more texture I topped it with the “Lace” image from the Grateful Bunch stamp set in Silver Foil with Gold Embossing. Okay, okay, I couldn’t help myself, I had to top each point with a rhinestone for even more sparkle. [grin] (I must confess, for my swaps I did not include the rhinestones. Buy the time I had done all the embossing, die cutting and fussy cutting I just didn’t have enough time. Lol!)
SENTIMENT: I felt I wanted to keep the sentiment clean and simple as well, so it didn’t compete with the Tiara. I used a sentiment from the Happy Happenings stamp set. Which I layered Gold Foil and Silver Foil, and embossed in Gold. This shiny circle was popped with dimensionals to balance things out.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Monday! Happy stamping until next time.
