I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was very productive. The top of the list was completing the last two designs for my Monthly Card Classes this weekend. Even though Easter is less then two weeks away I created an adorable Easter Chick that can be used for a gift card holder. I’ll be posting it next Monday, so please come back to check it out.
Today’s design is the third from February’s Card Class. It it the second card from the Chalk it up to Love August 2015 Paper Pumpkin using the Gold striped card for the front and other pieces from the same kit. My goal was to showcase the diversity that the Paper Pumpkin kits offer, as well as stretch these lovely card bases farther to make them even more economical. Gold stripes, pink with gold bows and basic black make a great color combination that I just love. The Basic Black base layer ties together with the Basic Black label as well as the gold stripes and gold sentiment shape. I love the clean and crisp as well as framing look adding a couple layers gave to this design.
CARD BASE: The card base starts with Very Vanilla. Then layered with Basic Black and half of the Gold Striped card. Again, I just love the cardstock used for the card bases from August 2015 Paper Pumpkin. [TIP: To add more height you could pop the Basic Black layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.]
FOCAL POINT: The Very Vanilla Banner and Basic Black Label are also from the same Paper Pumpkin kit. To add height the Banner and Label were popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
SENTIMENT: The Gold Foil sentiment shape is from the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. Then stamp “for you,” one of the many photopolymer images included with this Paper Pumpkin kit, with StaZon Jet Black ink.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Monday!
