Sometimes you need a card quick, fast and in a hurry, right? Well, this was the case here. A very dear friend of mine’s 60th birthday was yesterday (June 30th). A flash text was sent Monday to let us know it was a special birthday and “let’s see if we could shower her with cards”. I was on board and started this clean and simple design (At least for me. Lol!) Monday night and finished it Tuesday morning before I left for work. I was able to get it in the mail Tuesday so hopefully she received it yesterday. Happy Birthday my sweet friend Alicia.
This was quick for me, it took me 2 hours from start until addressing the envelope. So I was very happy. Yay! She likes shabby chic so I think this somewhat hits the mark with the Sahara Sand base and Blushing Bride layer along with the Flourish “floral” die cuts. The “happy”, “birthday” and “th” are from the sweet Number of Years stamp set. I stamped these in Crumb Cake ink just to make sure they visible without being overpowering. [TIP: I felt Sahara Sand ink was just a bit too soft.]
Of course I had to add a bit of sparkle and shine. [grin] Fortunately she likes sparkle and shine as well so I knew whatever I did would hit the mark. Lol! So I went with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer for the “60” (from the Large Numbers Framelits Dies) as well as small Rhinestones for a extra sparkle. Of course I popped the “th” and “60” to add needed height. [grin]
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a good Friday and celebratory 4th of July weekend!
