You’re In My Thoughts – Watercolor Wishes

5 PS Watercolor Wishes

Good Monday morning and happy tax day!

I had a fun Saturday stamping with a funny and amazing group of stampers.  I had several new stampers come to class and they were talking about coming next month so I hope that means they had a good time and enjoyed making the card designs.  I finally submitted our taxes on Sunday.  That was a big stress off my shoulders.  Woohoo!

Today’s post is the fifth design we created in March’s Card Class.  It is a clean and simple design with spring colors and a bit of gold for sparkle.  [grin]  When I came across this card on Pinterest by BJ Peters I just couldn’t resist CAS’ing it.  I felt like it needed a bit of texture so I added (vintage) textured cardstock squares which added a layer of subtle texture.  I decided to tie gold cording around the card fold, but this could be left off and be just as beautiful.

BASE:  The base starts with Whisper White layered with another Whisper White then topped with subtle squares of Textured Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz (vintage).  The corners were rounded to soften the look of the design.  [TIP:  If you lay out the design with and without the corners rounded you’ll see the difference.]

FOCAL POINT:  The Gold Glimmer Butterfly from the Butterfly Thinlits adds the perfect amount of sparkle and whimsy.  [grin]

SENTIMENT:  “You’re In My Thoughts” is from the Watercolor Wishes card kit (which includes the stamp set).  It is stamped with Marina Mist ink.  You won’t believe this but I considered gold embossing the sentiment but it was too much.  Yes!  I did say that.  Lol!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed today’s design.  Have a great Monday!!!
