Well Said Love You Valentine

Well Said, Love You Valentine

Today’s share one of the designs made in my January stamp class. It is an adorable Well Said Love You Valentine card. I challenged myself to use the Well Said Bundle AS WELL AS the Brusho Crystal Colour. The Brusho Crystal Colour giveS the cool watercolor look effect.

I wanted to create a clean & simple Valentine’s Day card for class AS WELL AS play with Brusho Crystal Colour. I love the versatility of this design. It would be great for a Valentine’s Day, Anniversary, or just as an I “love you” card.

The “love you” is from the Well Said Bundle in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. After I perused the new 2019 Occasions Catalog it was one of my “must have” items I had to get. This bundle includes word images along with lovely script word dies to combine together. Finally, to add additional texture, I used the White Washed design from the Wood Textures Design Series Paper.

GREAT TIP: I cut the “heart” from the center of the watercolor paper before adhering to the base. Also, I cut the “love” from the Copper Foil layer before layering with the White Wash design.

I hope you enjoy today’s clean & simple Valentine’s Day card as much as enjoyed sharing it. Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a great day and get your fingers inky!

Takeout Treats Grouping

Takeout Treats Grouping

Have you had a chance to check out the new 2018 Holiday Catalog?  It’s been out for several weeks and my wish list is crazy long.  Lol!

After perusing the catalog several times I finally noticed several “you can make it” groupings.  I thought huh, that’s something new and interesting.  When I started really looking at what these were all about I realized they had created groupings that provided everything needed to create the accompanying projects shown.  Wow, wow, wow!!! were my first words!

It got me thinking “I want to create my own grouping” and that’s how this fun variety grouping of projects came about.

When I placed my first order from the 2018 Holiday Catalog I purchased the Takeout Treats stamp set, Buffalo Check Background stamp and Spirited Snowmen stamp set.  Yes!  that was all the stamps I purchased, along with other accessories, embossing folders and designer paper.  This was even before I had decided to create this group of projects.  So I’m thinking this was meant to be.  Lol!

Here are the items I chose to made up my grouping — Takeout Treats Stamp Set, one set of Notecards & Envelopes, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, Real Red Ink Pad, Call Me Clover Ink Pad, Blender Pens and Clear Block D.  Yes, everything you will need to create these projects I just listed.  Well, there are few things that you will have in your craft area.  They are scissors, thin metal ruler, post-it notes, sponge (from your kitchen is fine) and a pencil.

TIERED Z-FOLD CARD AND MINI BAG-A-LOPE (PROJECTS 1 AND 2)

This Tiered Z-Fold card was the first design I created.  I had watched Dawn Griffith’s 4-fold card and thought how I could create it with just notecards.  I finally was able to make it work with two notecards.  Woohoo!  It only needs one envelope so that left an unused envelope.  I remembered the oldie but goodie Bag-a-Lope.

CARD-IN-A-BOX AND HALF MINI BAG-A-LOPE (PROJECTS 3 AND 4)

The valentine heart told me it could be made into a flower.  Another cool fun fold card in the Card in a Box.  The Call Me Clover green panels are created by taking your Blender Pen and putting green onto your clear block, then spritzing lightly and stamping onto your piece of cardstock.  It creates an amazing watercolor effect!  This one took two notecards as well.  So that left an envelope to turn into another project.  I thought a cute party gift box would be fun.  I used the same bag-a-lope idea but cut the envelope in half and made two small party gift box sizes.  Adorable!

LOVE YOU LOTS VALENTINE, THANK YOU MUG AND LESS TRICKS AND MORE TREATS CAULDRON HALLOWEEN CARDS (PROJECTS 5 THRU 7)

I finally stepped back into the traditional card box and these fill several more holiday card needs.

The first is the Love You Lots Valentine card.  The double lines behind the hearts are the edges of the clear block inked with Read Red and stamped twice next to each other.  Yes!  Another use for your clear block.

The second is the Thank You Mug.  My trimming the top off the rectangular image you get the shape of a mug and the handle is the edge trimmed away from the hearts on the Card-in-a-Box.  It’s hard to see but there is steam rising from the mug I created this by taking the small grouping of hearts and inking the black ink and stamping off several times then into the card.

The third is the Less Tricks and More Treats Halloween card turning the rectangle image on its side into a Cauldron.  The Call Me Clover is sponged to create steam rising.  Hey, it’s the best thing I could think of for Halloween.

Valentine, Thank you, Halloween

I’m very happy with how my projects turnout with limited supplies and colors.  This was WAY OUTSIDE my comfort zone but I think they are pretty cool.  AND……if you haven’t already noticed, there is no bling on any project.  That’s right NO BLING!  Lol!

I set out to combine the most versatile stamp set, ink pads and paper to create the most varied of projects.  Well, do you think I hit the mark?  With making multiples of each project I was able to create a total of 25 items, yes 25 items.  Hang on……I will share in just a moment.  The “you can make it” groupings in the Holiday Catalog range from $43.50 to $75.50.  My grouping total is $74.00 (plus tax and shipping).  That is $2.96 per item……YES!  If you purchase just one more package of Notecards and Envelopes this drops down to $1.61 for 50 items!  Sweet!

Here are how many of each project can be made.

  • 3 — Tiered Z-Fold Cards
  • 4 — Mini Bag-a-Lopes (perfect for a full-size Hershey’s Candy Bar)
  • 2 — Card-in-Box
  • 10 — Half Size Party Gift Box Bag-a-Lopes
  • 2 — Each of the Valentine, Thank You and Halloween notecards

Sure Do Love You Gold Heart

Sure Do Love You Gold Heart

When I opened my package of Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper I feel in LOVE with the entire package.  OMGosh one side of every sheet (yes, every sheet) includes gold foil in some fashion.  The opposite side is variations of the color palette in different design shapes.  The color palette for Painted With Love SDSP is Rich Razzleberry, Melon Membo, Calypso Coral, Powder Pink, Whisper White and of course Gold Foil.

For this fun girly Valentine card I incorporated the “Torn Strips” design.  To create the vertical stripe frame I cut strips of the SDSP and layered them at the corners.  Because this design is so random I didn’t even need to match to the corners.  Sweet!!!

I don’t know what I was thinking, but I didn’t get the coordinating Lots of Love Box Framelits.  It includes dies to cut all the heart shapes.  So, for this one, after I gold embossed the heart onto Vellum,  I had to fussy cut the heart.  DUH!  It sure looks amazing popped with quarter pieces of the new Mini-Dimensionals.  This made the dimensionals small enough to not show but still popped the heart.

The “Sure Do Love You” banner is also included in the stamp set.  Note I mentioned “banner”,  The actual shape is a banner which is slightly curved.  This stamp set is available in Clear Mount so I was able to straighten the stamp when placing, creating the straight sentiment.  Love it!

I hope you enjoyed today’s clean and simple (but WOW) girly Valentine.  Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great Wednesday!

Sure Do Love You – Valentine

Sure Do Love You - Valentine

The Sure Do Love You stamp set was one of the first sets I picked from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  It also happens to be the first of four designs we made in my January Stamp Class.  I wanted to create a masculine or gender neutral Valentine design for those guys or teens in our lives.

BASE:  The card base is 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4 Lemon Lime Twist embossed with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder horizontally.  When designing I wanted to have the stripes on all four edges.  So I cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist the same width as the square and embossed the stripes vertically and placed onto the base.

FULL OF HEARTS SQUARE:  The Sure Do Love You stamp set includes the three different small heart shapes with fun sentiments.  The non-traditional colors I chose were Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Tempting Turquoise.  It took me a little while to get the Type-A “random” colors and stamps.  Lol!  Oh……I almost forgot.  The Berry Burst and Temping Turquoise are really strong so I stamped them off before stamping onto the Whisper White square.  Can you guess what I thought was missing???……sparkle.  Giggles!  The stamped square was layered onto a slightly larger square of Turquoise Glimmer Paper.  (This amazing colored glimmer paper is also available in the 2018 Occasions Catalog.   Sweet!  It adds just a tough of sparkle but not too much.  Of course I had to add some height so I popped the square with Dimensionals.

SENTIMENT:  This was a happy accident.  I had a 3/4″ strip left over on my table and found that it fit perfectly across the third row of hearts.  I was excited to find the “Love You” from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set and then stamped it in Tempting Turquoise.  Finally, to add another height layer I popped the strip with Dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great weekend and upcoming Valentines Day!

Love Sparkles Stamp Set ~ Valentine Heart

Love Sparkles Stamp Set ~ Valentine Heart

Pink, Gold Polka Dots, and sparkle……all my favorites!  This is my nod to Valentine’s Day.  The Love Sparkles stamp set is one of my favorites from the new Occasions Catalog.  I love all the “sparkly” words and the little word groupings too.  This clean and simple look that also uses the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper and Sweet & Sassy Framelits help the “sparkly love” pop.  Sweet!

BASE:  I started with a Flirty Flamingo base.  Then I layered it with Gold Foil and Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper Gold Dots.  [TIP:  To save cardstock I cut the gold heart from the Gold Foil square before layering under the Gold Dots.]

SWEET & SASSY HEART:  First I gold embossed “Love” from the Love Sparkles stamp set onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo.  Next I die cut  a Sweet & Sassy Framelits Heart with the “love” centered and adhered it to the larger Gold Foil heart.  Then I trimmed the Gold Foil down to 1/1/6″ larger then the Flirty Flamingo heart.  Finally popped it with a Dimensionals and added Rhinestones to the “sparkles”.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have enjoyed the three designs using this fun stamp set.  Have a great stampin’ day!
