Love What You Do – Thank You Wreath

Love What You Do - Thank You Wreath

I’ve been having fun with the amazing Share What You Love Sneak Peak Bundle.  What?!?  Yes, demonstrators were able to purchase this amazing bundle before the 2018-19 catalog goes live.  Woohoo!  Today’s post is the second in a trio of designs featuring the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Paper and Love What You Do Stamp Set.  I had fun fussy cutting all those flowers and creating this Love What You Do – Thank You Wreath.

An even more amazing thing is we get to share this same Sneak Peak Bundle prepurchase with your as well.  Yes!  Starting May 1st you can purchase this beautiful bundle.  With all the lovely designs in the Share What You Do Specialty Designer Paper the shimmery Grapefruit Grove floral design spoke to me and while creating my first design (you can check it out here) this wreath idea popped into my head.

BASE:  This time I went with a Basic Black base layered with the new In Color Grapefruit Grove and Shimmery White.  To add a bit of subtle texture I embossed the Shimmery White square with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.  [My first layer of shine……smile.]

WREATH:  Yes, I’m a glutton for punishment.  But I do find fussy cutting therapeutic.  Most of the time anyway.  Lol!  I had a piece of designer paper left over and started cutting out flowers.  When there was enough flowers I started playing with the pieces until I was happy with the layout.  [TIP:  I used a circle from the Layering Circles Framelits to give me the shape I wanted.] [My second layer of shine……smile.]  The wreath felt like it needed something to finish it.  After searching through my stash the Shimmer Black Ribbon called my name.  [My third layer of shine……smile]

SENTIMENT:  This clean and simple design called for the same type of sentiment.  I went with “thank you” from the Love What You Do stamp set.  I stamped it onto Shimmery White with Archival Black Ink and also fussy cut it.

Love What You Do - Thank You Wreath Interior

There were several partial shimmery flowers left so I cut them out as well and used them to finish the inside on all three designs.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you are inspired by today’s Love What You Do – Thank You Wreath to get your hands inky and stamp to your hearts content.  Have a great day!

Thank You SAB Springtime Foil

Thank You SAB Springtime Foil

Okay, I have fallen in love the the newest Sale-a-bration Designer Paper Springtime Foil.  Embossed images without the embossing……win, win!  This design is clean and simple, AND quick to put together.

There are four different designs in the paper pack.  The two tone effect of the Silver and Gold as well as the simple leaf and bud pattern makes me giddy.

I colored the leaves from the SAB Springtime Foil designer paper with Soft Sky and layered it with Gold Foil on top of a Soft Sky card base.  You know me, I had to add height where possible so I popped the Gold Foil layer with Dimensionals.  Ahhhhhh!

The “Thank You” from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set was embossed in Gold and layered with Gold Foil and popped with a Dimensional.  The band helped ground the sentiment and add a bit of subtle texture to boot.  It is one of my “go to” techniques — Faux Suede.

A fun and shiny design that you could use for a multitude of occasions or reasons.

If you like this SDSP Springtime Foil paper it is available through the end of Sale-a-Bration (March 31, 2018) or while supplies last.  Don’t miss out and place a $50 order today and get this paper pack for FREE!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great day!

Label Me Pretty Bundle, Stamp Together

Label Me Pretty Bundle

With the new catalog going live June 1st our local demonstrator group, lead by our fearless leader (Barb Brimhall – BZB Stampers) organized a “Stamp Together”.  This gave us the chance to play with and test out loads of new items before purchasing them.  Woohoo!  Today’s designs from the Stamp Together feature the Label Me Pretty Bundle.

This Label Me Pretty Bundle set of cards were designed by yours truly……that’d be me.  [smile]  The stamp set and coordinating punch open up possibilities for a variety of designs by using just the stamp set, the punch or both together.  My “clean & simple” design esthetic is front and center with these fun and bright designs.  I must confess I didn’t think I was going to be a fan of the new In Color Lemon Lime Twist.  OMGosh!!!  I so take it back.  As you can see I have fallen IN LOVE with this new In Color.

A few of the new items I chose to use in my designs where of course the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set, the Pretty Label Punch, the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack and the yummy Powder Pink 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon.

UPPER LEFT CARD:  I went outside my usual card design box and created a rather fun “slide-out” card.  It has a pocket that you slide the message into and includes a cute pull using the Pretty Label Punch and Powder Pink Ribbon.  AND I added a layer to the pocket from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack in the new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist.

UPPER RIGHT CARD:  This was my first design so of course it doesn’t include Flirty Flamingo in its color palette.  Lol!  I did incorporate a band of Silver Foil to add shine.  [grin]  In this design I added subtle texture by tearing the edges of the Lemon Lime Band.  Next I used an oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits and topped it with the Pretty Label Punch shape stamped with an image from the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set.  I was feeling ornery and had them fussy cut the banner.  [cheeky grin]

CENTER BOTTOM:  I must say this is my favorite of the bunch.  I LOVE the bright and cheery feeling I get when I look at it.  It features the Pretty Label Punch and fabulous new In Colors Lemon Lime Twist and Powder Pink. [TIP:  Rather then using a dark narrow layer to frame the bright colors I used white.  It gives a totally different look and lighter feel.  LOVE IT!]  I also used the cool Stitched Shapes Framelits squares.  These guys add a subtle faux stitched effect on the edges giving a nice finished look.  Sweet!

[I was having a “woe is me” moment while designing these guys.  I have something that I truly miss and want to share with you.  There are times when I would LOVE to add a layer or two of textured cardstock.  It adds just the perfect amount of subtle texture and takes a design to the next level.  I so miss our coordinating textured cardstock……I’m just sayin’.]  Okay, I’m done now and feel much better for having shared that with you.  [smile]

I hope you have enjoyed this group of fun and bright designs featuring the Label Me Pretty Bundle.  I also hope you enjoyed the variety of designs featuring loads of new items from the now live 2017-18 Annual Catalog.  AND that you are inspired to get stamping and let your creativity flow.

Thank you for stopping by and have a stampingly wonderful Friday and weekend!

Basket Bunch Bundle, Thanks a Bunch

Basket Bunch Bundle, Thanks a Bunch

Nothing says Spring like daffodils.  This fun and bright “spring” design features the Basket Bunch Bundle.  It is another design from my April Card Class.  I just love it’s bright and sunny color palette [Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky].  I was perusing Pinterest and came across my inspiration for this CASE’d design.  Yes, I was inspired to “copy and selectively edit” this spring-y design by Michelle Gomez.  The Basket Bunch Bundle is great because it covers all manner of spring flings……Easter, Spring and chicks man, chicks.  Lol!

BASE:  First it starts with a Pear Pizzazz base.  Next I added the Flirty Flamingo layer, this adds a nice frame effect.  Then I topped it with (vintage) Textured Blushing Bride for a subtle bit of texture.  Fortunately I had just enough for my class stampers.  Woohoo!

SENTIMENT:  I also added a Flirty Flamingo layer behind the Whisper White for that nice framing effect and an extra punch of color.  The Whisper White rectangle is sponged with Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz to become a soft background for the “Daffodils” and “Thanks of Bunch” both from the Basket Bunch stamp set.  There is also a “Grass” stamp that I stamped several time along the bottom to ground everything.

FLOWERS:  I had to put my big girl pant on to do the coloring on the flowers and leaves.  (smile)  The “Stem” was stamped onto the sponged rectangle three times to create the stems.  Then I stamped the “Daffodil” three times and the “Leaf” four times onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black Ink.  The leaves are colored with Pear Pizzazz and the daffodils with Flirty Flamingo and a touch of So Saffron for the centers.  The coolest part is the Flower and Leaf were die cut with shapes from the Basket Builder Framelits Die Set.  Woohoo…no cutting (unless you REALLY want to!)  “More height” number two is popping the “Daffodils” with Dimensionals.  Ooh…..I almost forgot, I added a touch of Clear Wink of Stella to the center of the Daffodils to add my all important sparkle.  (smile)

Finally, to give the feel of “a bunch of flowers” I wrapped the rectangle with 3/8″ Taffeta Flirty Flamingo Ribbon before popping with Dimensionals.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great Memorial Day Holiday weekend and get to relax and stamp too.

13-in-one-derful (redone) Card 13

13-in-one-derful (redone) Card 13

Finally, here is the last in my series, 13-in-one-derful (redone) Card 13. To mix it up I decided to revise the card size so the three main pieces would fit on the card base.  I also made the Elegant Eggplant rectangle fit the open space.  [Yes, my Type-A flag flying high. Lol!)  Then to give a bit of texture I used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

For the sentiments I made a point to use only the sentiments included in the stamp set.  I was very happy with all the variations I came up with.  If you went even further and cut it word individually the possibilities open up even more.

You can check out my previous 13-in-one-derful Card 13 here or you can download the cutting layout here.

I hope you have enjoyed this redone one sheet wonder series and may be inspired to create your own.
