Mother’s Day Bloom With Hope

Bloom With Hope Mothers Day

Good Monday morning stampin’ peeps!  I had a great Saturday with all my local stampin’ peeps at my morning and evening classes.  This month was all about the guys in your life.  All this months cards were masculine inspired.  Over the next few weeks I will be posting them so make sure and check back.

Today’s post is the Mother’s Day card I made and gave to my wonderful mother.  Oops, I did forget to take a picture of the back. You might be thinking “holy cow did she cut all those out my hand”?  Yes, I did.  It was a labor of love not only to color them (I am know for not enjoying to coloring), but to hand cut all the flowers and leaves as well.  I really didn’t mind it as much as the coloring.  My mom is worth it so I put my mind to work and put together this lovely A2 sized card in a box.  Please leave me a note if you like to see my measurements for this card-in-a-box size.

The box is Crumb Cake stamped in Crumb Cake with the Hardwood background stamp.  I stamped the three different flowers and leaves from the Bloom With Hope onto Whisper White with StaZon Jet Black ink(this keeps the lines from smearing when coloring).  I colored the flowers with Rose Red and centers with Crumb Cake.  I glued a light amount of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center of each flower.  The leaves were colored with Pear Pizzazz.  I did all the coloring with a Blender Pen, no markers on this baby.  Lol!  There are three cross spacers that all the flowers and leaves are glued to.  I tried two but it didn’t give enough dimension so I added a third.  Just right!!!  The butterfly at the back is from the Butterflies Framelits set cut from Rose Red.  I applied large, medium and small rhinestones to the body for added sparkle.  I stamped two butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set onto Whisper White in Rose Red ink as well and punched out using the Bitty Butterfly punch.  I applied these with Stampin’ Dimensional halves and a small rinestones for the head.  The sentiment layers are different sized circle punches and Circles Collection Framelits from Old Olive and Whisper White.  The sentiment is from the Lovely Amazing you Photopolymer stamp set (available online only).  Finally I wrapped the lovely box with a piece of Rose Red lace ribbon from the Artisan Embellishments Kit and topped that with 1/4″ Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon.  I did stamp Happy Mother’s Day from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set onto Whisper White and punched with the Word Window punch.  A big shout out to Nicole Wilson for her wonderful project that I saw on Pinterest and CASE’d with some “Carol” additions/tweaks.  Lol!

I hope you had and great weekend and are having a good Monday!  Thank you for stopping by today and I would love to hear your comments.
