More Convention Swaps (part 4)

2015 SU Convention Swaps 04

This is going to be a good Friday.  Why you ask?  My boss was out yesterday and is today as well, so I am able to get things caught up and ready for next week with payroll and then rolling right into billings.

This weekend I’ll be working my mail-in swaps.  I’ve got the designs completed and now I’m on to production.  Derek has been a trooper doing A LOT of big shot-ing for me.  We are not allowed to post our creations until after swap is complete, so I won’t be able to post these until after September 1oth.  Keep your eyes open for loads of creative ideas, other then just mine.  Lol!  Okay, today’s post is more inspiration from other demonstrators as well.  But, hey, these are from the annual catalog not the new Holiday Catalog that goes live September 1st.  Woohoo!!!  Reach out to me if you’d like your very own!

CARD 1  (TOP LEFT):  I really like the clean lines and simplicity of this card.  It features the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack, Endless Thanks stamp set and the Butterfly Thinlits Die Set.  [TIP:  This would also be a great way to use up some of those scraps we always seem to have lying around.]  This fluttering beauty was created by Marcia Gay.

CARD 2  (TOP RIGHT):  This card has a lot of “wow” factor going on.  (pun intended.  Lol!)  It starts with the Decorative Dots embossing on the card base.  The “WOW” is from the What’s Your Type stamp set stamped in Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and VersaMark.  The stripes are Gold embossed.  Love it!  The “thanks” sentiment is from the Greetings Thinlits Die Set.  Finally, it is finished off with bits from the Metallics Sequin Assortment, a length of Gold Sequin Trim and a wee bit of Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim.  I really like all that’s going on, just short of too much but not quite.  Great job Heather Heroldt on a wonderfully golden swap.

CARD 3  (BOTTOM):  When I first saw the From Land to Sea stamp set I fell in love.  I’m a cancer and I love the water/sea.  So this lovely, calming and sweet turtle design is one of my favorites.  The base is embossing with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder which adds a bit of texture.  Next is the Coral from the “By The Sea” stamp set and then the adorable Sea Turtle from the From Land to Sea stamp set.  He is fussy cut and popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals to help him stand out.  Finally, the Just A Note sentiment is from the sweetly amazing stamp set Watercolor Wishes.  Thank you so much Sheila Miller for this wonderfully sweet card.

I hope you have a great Friday and weekend as well.  Take care and I’ll see you next week.

Sparkly Hugs, Carol
