Fall is in full swing here in the Pacific Northwest. My share today embodies this with a wee bit of sparkle. [grin] I have combined Cookie Cutter Halloween Stamp Set and Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies Set. It’s a little bit spooky but cute at the same time with the sweet scarecrow.
BASE: It starts with Tangerine Tango, layered with Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight. I created a 1-3/8″ circle mask to create the sunset-ish sun. It is sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink. To keep the layering going I added the tree (in Early Espresso) and running fence (in Soft Suede) from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Die Set.
FOCAL IMAGE: Well…..let’s see…..ummm……it’s the scarecrow. Lol! As you know, I’m not much in to coloring. But, I pulled my big girl panties up tight and went to work coloring my heart out. [pun intended…..Lol!! He is stamped onto Very Vanilla with StaZon Black ink. For coloring, I used Dapper Denim (pants), Daffodil Delight (straw), Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze (coat), Real Red (patches), Tip Top Taupe (hat) and Crumb Cake (face) ink. I am way beyond excited that there is a coordinating punch. Woohoo……no fussy cutting! The Cookie Cutter Builder punch also includes the mini heart shape that I punched to create the sparkly leaves using Pumpkin Pie Glimmer. Hello…..I had to add sparkle somewhere. [grin]
SENTIMENT: “Have some spooky fun” comes from the “Spooky Fun” stamp. It was stamped with Memento Black ink onto Very Vanilla. The edges were sponged with Crumb Cake. With so many layers the only things that I felt needed popping where the Scarecrow and the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, Happy Stamping!
