Congratulations Motorcycle Punch Art

Punch Art Motorcycle 500pxl

Yay!!! It’s Friday!  We made it through another week.  Lol!  My brother asked his then girlfriend to marry him on the way to Sturgis last month (thankfully she said yes) and then they got married while they were there.  There were engaged on Sunday then married that following Wednesday.  I guess not many couples get married there so they were the talk of the town.  It was very sweet of him and he planned everything without Ginger guessing.  Way to go bro!!!

This is the card I made for them and their non-traditional wedding.  This is close to the color that he repainted his motorcycle.  I was inspired by Valita’s Designs & Fresh Folds’ version then I took a picture of Mark’s motorcycle and created this fun punch art design.  They wear the half helmet style s so I made sure to include a nod to the traditional black for Mark and white for Ginger with a veil piece.  I think it is just too cute.

BASE CARD:  I started with Whisper White stamping the Watercolor Wash background stamp with Soft Sky ink.  Then I added a strip of Basic Gray at the bottom to place the wheel on.  It gives the feel of a road.  Lol!

FOCAL POINT:  The motorcycle was created from a combination of circle punches, Circles Collection Framelits, Ovals Collection Framelits and Oval Punches.  WHEEL–circle punches and Circles Collection Framelits; HEADLIGHT/TURNSIGNAL–3/4″ & 1/2″ Circle Punches; SHOCKS & HANDLEBARS–Silver Foil strips and the handlebars I freehand cut from a square; GAS TANK–Ovals Collection;  ENGINE–silver foil small oval stamped with stripes from the Amazing Birthday stamp set in Stazon Jet Black cut in half and 3/8″ & 1/2″ Silver Foil circles; GEAR BOX–large oval and 3/4″ circle punches.  I cut a piece of Basic Black to fit, which is what I placed the motor, gearbox and gas tank onto.  I was pressed for space so I wasn’t able to spread out the wheel and motor area as much as I would have liked.  Don’t we always critique ourselves the hardest.  BUT, you get the gist of it being a motorcycle.  Lol!

SENTIMENT:  “Congrats” is from the Happy Happenings stamp set stamped onto a Whisper White banner with StaZon Jet Black popped with dimensionals

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you’ve enjoyed this non-traditional punch art wedding card.  It was truly a labor of love, they are so worth it though.  Have a great Friday!
